Who Has The Most Subscribers on Twitch?

Twitch, as you know, is a pretty popular platform. Each month anywhere from 2 million to 3 million broadcasters fire up their computers, turn on their webcams, and provide content to the world. That’s a pretty saturated market — despite a huge demand — and many streamers are left broadcasting to an audience of zero.

However, a lucky few rise to the top and dominate the Twitch market. Streamers like Ninja, Syndicate, and DrDisrespect have made millions on the platform. While Ninja still has the highest number of followers, (despite moving to Mixer) it begs the question which streamer has the highest number of subscribers? After all, community members pay anywhere from $4.99 to $24.99 per month to subscribe to their favorite streamers, which is no small feat.

So which streamer has the most subscribers on Twitch?

As of May 2020 … summit1g takes the top spot with 86,500 subscribers.

Summit1g, real name Jaryd Lazar, is an American Twitch streamer and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. With over 5 million followers on Twitch he’s currently ranked 5th on the platform.

However, when it comes to subs he’s ranked #1. With over 86,000 subscribers his yearly revenue could easily top $5 million (depending on sub tiers and his negotiated revenue split with Twitch). Some outlets estimate his net worth to be between $2 million and $7 million but even those estimates could fall short if they fail to account for sub revenue, donations, and sponsorship deals.

Behind summit1g is Anomaly, also known as Ludvig Lagerstedt, who has 60,463 subscribers as of today. in 2019, Anomaly was banned from Twitch for 30 days for an offensive Minecraft skin.

Summit1g is not exactly a fan of his closest sub competitor. In April 2020, he went on a rant about streamers who abuse legal view botting and partake in 24/7 streams, calling out Anomaly in the process.

“That 100k viewers that is sitting on the top of Valorant section is completely fraudulent, it's a complete joke," said summit1g during a stream. Then added, “Everyone's numbers have dropped off significantly[...] and you're telling me Anomaly, that you're still at 100 and 120K?"

"Give me a break bro. Turn your stream off bitch."

Yikes.
